Historical COD MW4 early access windows by mode

The October 16 Campaign announcement explicitly describes early access as running until the October 23 full release. Its platform list includes Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PS5, Battle.net, Steam and Switch 2. A start date does not establish a universal precise hour, and archived eligibility is not a new promotional offer.

Check your eligibility before buying again

The checked support page describes early access as a digital-edition benefit. A physical Standard purchase should not be assumed to include it. Avoid purchasing a second copy simply because a different mode is still locked; first distinguish a license issue from an unopened window.

  • Open your existing order and confirm it is the digital game for the platform you are using.
  • Check that the storefront account showing the purchase is the one signed in on your device.
  • Read the edition’s own current terms, especially if a retailer sold a code or a different regional product.
  • Install the content for the mode you intend to play, then check for a launcher or game update.

If access is missing

Record the platform, storefront, edition, mode and exact error message. Compare those details with your receipt and the official support article. If the store does not recognize ownership, contact that store. If ownership appears correctly but the mode remains unavailable, use Activision Support with the same details.

Do not send passwords, recovery codes or complete payment details to a fan website. COD MW4 Guide cannot add a license, redeem an account entitlement or investigate an account ban. Our contact channel is for site corrections and source questions.

How early access changes at full launch

These dates describe the pre-release access benefit. They are not a permanent separate version or evidence that every mode launched early. At full release, use your edition, installed content and platform’s unlock rule to determine access. The historical dates remain useful when checking an order or an old promotional claim.

COD MW4 early access FAQ

Did MW4 early access require Vault Edition?

No. Standard Digital and Vault were both listed for Campaign Early Access. The benefit depended on the qualifying digital order and its terms, rather than the higher edition alone.

Can I buy early access to MW4 now?

This page records the pre-release windows. The official Campaign window led into the October 23 full launch; use the current edition listing instead of treating a new order as an early-access offer.

Is a MW4 beta code enough?

No. A beta code belonged to the past beta event and does not establish ownership of the full game.
